Validity is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager with a track record of managing technical SaaS products through the intersection of robust email data insights and AI acceleration, geared toward empowering marketers with better targeting and elevated content to maximize campaign impact.


The Product Management team is a lynchpin of our company, working across teams to ensure our products meet the needs of the customer and the business. They are responsible for the complete product offering, from early-stage research and ideation to implementation and iteration, based on key success metrics. To be successful here, you must have strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking skills, and process orientation. Additionally, you should be a champion for positive impact and be ready to tackle day-to-day problems with humility and humor.

We are focused on identifying local candidates who can work a hybrid office-based position in the team’s Boston, Massachusetts or Broomfield, CO locations; however, we will consider qualified candidates from other US locations for a remote opportunity.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the product lifecycle, performing continuous market discovery and documenting the business and development plan
  • Lead discovery efforts, analyzing and evaluating data, and making decisions to acquire and integrate new data sources
  • Work with key stakeholders to shape the vision, set the strategy, and craft the product backlog and roadmap for your product(s)
  • Define requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner closely with AI Capability Teams, prototyping with LLMs and agents to validate ideas before implementation
  • Work with Engineering on documenting the scope, reliability, and behavior of data sets
  • Facilitate execution with Engineering: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication internally and with customers
  • Assess and communicate the impact of upcoming releases on the product operating model
  • Define KPIs required to measure a product’s success. Build and track KPIs to measure product success and report the product’s contributions to the business
  • Orchestrate implementations of technical solutions with internal stakeholders and data partners
  • Contribute to best practices and mentoring of junior team members
Required Experience, Skills, and Education
  • 8-10 years of experience being accountable for the commercial success of a SaaS product, leading teams through all phases of product development
  • Repeated experience growing Product revenue (GRR and NRR) for a SaaS product
  • Deep experience defining and building SaaS products, including data services integrations, and owning all aspects of the product lifecycle
  • Exceptional analytical skills: the ability to perform discovery on and articulate the potential of large data sets, understand sophisticated problems quantitatively and qualitatively, and gather, prioritize, and translate customer and business requirements into successful product strategies
  • Ability to define specific quantitative questions, then access and search datasets to answer them
  • Familiarity with technical solutions that process vast data sets
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; able to communicate compelling headlines to technical and executive-level audiences, and support those headlines with a deep command of the details
  • Strong understanding of how software is built and deployed
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Experience in the email delivery and deliverability space, with knowledge of the sender-mailbox provider-sender reputation ecosystem, and the players involved.
